This consultant was engaged by a major financial institution as Project Manager to supervise the development of a new pension portal.
The role involved:
- The establishment and supervision of the project in line with PMR & Prince2 methodologies including the preparation of all supporting documentation.·
- The selection, negotiation, appointment and the day-to-day management of external suppliers
- Direct line responsibility of an internal team of 90 people with approximately 7 direct reports
- Preparing a PID and business case, obtaining feedback and sign off from the project sponsors
- Producing a detailed benefit realisation plan
- Agreeing delivery plans and budgets with internal & external teams
- The supervision of the architectural design
- Managing all activities associated with a major business release
The project had a strategic importance and was monitored closely by the senior executive. The team consisted of technical architects, business analysts, developers and testers. Budget £8 million.
