For a major UK Consumer Finance group, this consultant formed a specialist change management internal audit function. His team included 2 senior relationship managers and 8 senior auditors.

Key Responsibilities included:

  • Introducing managing successful programmes and Prince2 methodologies as best practice benchmarks for change audit practice. 
  • Forming effective relationships with key business stakeholders ranging from Programme Directors to board level executives, to facilitate the provision of assurance over risks associated with major change programmes. These included business, IT or operational transformation, acquisitions and mergers, and major sourcing initiatives across the bank worldwide.

Key Achievements included:

  • The introduction, for the first time, a Group-wide Change Governance Framework that defined clear standards, structures and accountabilities for the management of strategic or significant change, as well as focussing on the realisation of benefits derived from change activity.
  • Annual Audit Plans delivered successfully, 2002 and 2003.
