A comprehensive modular survey of IT expenditure and technology trends in the UK construction industry.

A new IT expenditure benchmarking report, specifically designed for the UK construction industry, has been published by The Knowledge Practice in association with Construct IT (Salford University) and The National Computing centre (NCC).

The survey provides a unique source of current information on IT budgets, cost reduction strategies, future spending intentions and technology trends within the industry’s top 200 firms and is the first time that similar detailed information, specific to the UK construction sector has been available since the original series of Building on IT reports was undertaken between 1988 and 1992.

The report is essential reading for IT managers, Finance Directors and other Senior Managers involved in developing coping strategies for the current downturn but who are also mindful that IT has become an essential enabler of business processes in construction and wish to re-position IT such that the organisation will be able to take full advantage of newer, more cost effective technologies when the upturn arrives.
