If The Knowledge Practice transfers your personal information to offices outside the European Economic Area or to other authorised third parties, The Knowledge Practice will ensure that the recipient applies the same levels of protection, as The Knowledge Practice is required to apply to your personal information under United Kingdom data protection legislation.

By accessing the website and registering information with The Knowledge Practice, you consent to The Knowledge Practice collecting and processing personal information in the manner set out in the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

What information do we collect?

Your information including your name, address, telephone number and email address is collected by us and processed at our offices in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Your information is collected and retained by us for the following purposes:

  • Matching your details to emerging consulting opportunities
  • Keeping you informed of emerging opportunities in the marketplace for freelance consultants.
  • Keeping you informed of goods and services offered by us, our group companies or our business partners.

If you have any requests concerning these uses of your information please contact us on info@tkp.co.uk

We may record telephone calls we have with you for record keeping, training or quality assurance purposes. When you visit our web site our web server stores the IP address of your Internet Service Provider and the date and duration of your visit.
The Knowledge Practice website asks you to submit your name, status (client/consultant) and contact details (e.g. address, email, telephone, mobile, fax) as part of the registration process as well as permission to contact you with the various products/services you have registered for e.g. email alerts for consulting opportunities.

At the same time, or a later time, you are also given the opportunity to submit your CV or input your full employment details onto the website.

How do we collect your information?

We collect information in two principle ways:

  • Indirectly (for example, through our Internet access logs)
  • Directly (for example, when you register for services or submit CV information)

Using Cookies

The Knowledge Practice uses cookies which save and retrieve information about your visit to www.tkp.co.uk.  For example, how you entered our site, how you navigated through the site, and what information was of interest to you. For more information about cookies you can visit: http://www.allaboutcookies.org   TKP is not responsible for the content of external websites.

Submitting personal information

We also collect information when you voluntarily submit it to us. Throughout our site, we provide the opportunity to submit your CV, register for an event or conference, order a white paper, or participate in an online survey. When we collect this type of information, we will notify you as to why we are asking for information and how this information will be used.

How we use this information

TKP will only use your information for the purposes stated and for which you have given us your consent.  When you supply any personal information to TKP we have legal obligations towards you in the way we deal with that data. We must collect the information fairly; that is, we must explain how we will use it and tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone else. In general, any information you provide to TKP will only be used within TKP for marketing purposes and customer administration. It will never be supplied to anyone outside the company without first obtaining your consent, unless we are obliged by law to disclose it.

Indirect data - We analyze data about your site visit to determine what is most effective about our site, to help us identify ways to improve it, and eventually, to determine how we can tailor www.tkp.co.uk to make it more effective. We may also use data for other purposes, which we would describe to you at the point we collect the information.

Direct Personal Work Records - TKP will use the information you submit on this website together with other information provided to match your skills and experience against consulting opportunities, for administration and marketing purposes (including the showcasing of key assignment records).

The Knowledge Practice will use your contact details (postal address, email address, telephone, mobile and fax numbers) to contact you regarding the product and/or services you have requested.  This includes re-registration/update CV notifications, surveys (from us and others) and/or (but not exclusively) invitations to join discussion forums, exhibitions, seminars and shows.

We will also offer you the opportunity to opt in to receive additional information from us by email, telephone and/or SMS.  This includes other products/services that TKP and its associated companies offer and that TKP feels may be of interest to you.
