Funding

We can help you access funding specifically targeted at small and medium sized enterprises. The fund will pay for any training that is focused on developing your strategic leadership and operational management skills, whether it is bespoke, non-accredited or accredited.

How do you qualify for the funding?

To be eligible for a grant, you must be:

1.    A company based in the London area with 5-249 staff

2.    A Key Director/Manager with a strategic decision-making role in the organization,  or

3.    The most senior employee in the company (for companies with 5-10 staff)

4.    From an EU country or have lived in the UK for the last 3 years

5.    A first time applicant for a grant

The grant cannot be used for membership fees, travel and subsistence, statutory and mandatory training, e.g. health & safety, assessment/ accreditation for Investors in People or ISO, capital equipment, business accommodation costs.

How much can you claim?

In all, you can claim up to £1000 (exclusive of VAT). The first £500 is provided as unmatched, the second £500 would need to be match-funded by you.  

For example, for individuals, if the total cost of your course is £1500, you can claim £1000 grant (£500 “unmatched” + £500 “matched”) and the remaining £500 you would pay.  For teams: Any team training must be fully match funded.

If the training you have chosen costs more than £1500, the excess is fully funded by yourself. 

How to Claim Your Grant

1.    Agree your training requirements with your Knowledge Practice Consultant

2.    Complete your Personal Development Plan* with our specialist advisor

3.    Once approved, start your training!

 *This includes a Training needs verification meeting

How do you pay for your training? 

Once your Personal Development Plan has been agreed, you can make a payment for your training and claim the funding entitlement back.

If you wish, you can invoice for the “unmatched” £500 first, and the balance later.  Your training may continue beyond the claim date, and if you are claiming for the “matched” element at a later date, this must be within 6 months of the date on your Personal Development Plan.

Our team will contact you to check on progress if we have not received a claim from you within 2-3 weeks of the Personal Development Plan date.  

Our aim is to process all fully completed claims for payment within 30 days of receipt of your grant fund confirmation.
