These have been attained with major UK consultancies i.e. Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (EY heritage) and WS Atkins. Prior to moving into consultancy he spent some 10 years in the telecommunication industry in a 'hands on' role, implementing communications systems on a world wide basis. He has an honours degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Essex University and is a Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers. He is an experienced project manager and has a thorough understanding of how business operates in a number of sectors e.g. energy, utilities, retail and finance. He has both technical and business skills e.g. IT infrastructure, communication system design, conduct of feasibility studies, development of business cases, network and IT services provision. These have been utilised by a range of clients in the UK and overseas, from government departments, industry, utilities, to commerce and the military. He has also conducted technical surveys and lectured in telecommunications internationally. From the outset of his career, the working mode has been project oriented, which has trained him to set and achieve objectives. He is a team player whether managing teams, or providing subject matter expertise, but is equally comfortable working alone. Whatever the role, he brings the considerable consultancy skills and experience expected of a senior managing consultant. He has strong man management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyse, think conceptually and present those thoughts clearly in both verbal and written form.
